Newport and Pembrokeshire are rich in ancient landmarks and archecteture, from medevial castles to stone circles and iron age forts, there are many historic sites throughout Newport and Pembrokeshire waiting to be discovered.
Our cottages provide direct access to Carningli Mountain, where at the summit, you can find the remains of Carningli Hillfort, one of the largest Iron Age hill forts in West Wales. Other sites on the mountain include Carn Cwn wishing well and Brithdir Mawr stone circle on the Northern and Eastern edges. Further afield the burial chamber of Pentre Ifan is an ever popular landmark, a remarkable stone chamber with distant views of the Pembrokeshire coast.

From Red Kites soaring on mountain thermals to moorland and coastal birds, the geographic location of Newport offers opportunities across the Nevern estuary, Newport beach, the Pembrokeshire coast as well as the many RSPB and Wildlife Trust nature reserves nearby.
