I've been coming to Penfeidr Newydd for many years & certainly will again. This wonderful setting is a joy to wake up to in any & all weathers. The cottage is snug & well provided & John couldn't be more helpful (even a lift to the train station). If you leave birdseed out, you'll see some smashing birds - a pair of jays has been visiting every day. Walk up Carningli in the morning or late afternoon & meet the sheep. Relax in the town at the Golden Lion (wonderful Sunday lunch!) Blas serves the best Welshcakes (and other cakes) to be had.

Had a brilliant time in this lovely rustic cottage at the foot of Carningli. Beautiful scenic, historic area with gorgeous beaches, most of which we could take our dog on. John the owner is very helpful & extremely knowledgeable about the area & its history. To my husband's delight, a micro brewery just down the road, burial chambers & standing stones galore- he was in his element! We will definitely be back!
Absolutely loved our stay here. Thank you to John for lighting a fire for our arrival, such a lovely touch. Fabulous views & a great sized garden for our 2 dogs. The walks from the doorstep up Mynydd Carningli were amazing and the town only a 10 min walk away. Highly recommended as a getaway retreat!
